Gather your forces, dust off the order dice and get ready for its the first Bolt Action 3rd Edition event of 2026!!
Welcome to a Bolt Action 3rd Edition Tournament of 1250pts consisting of 3 games each lasting 2 hours.
Event detials:
Missions:
- Mission 1 Meeting Engagement (As per Rule Book p 170)
- Deployment Zone long table edges p169
- Deployment Type meeting engagement p170
- Reserves: yes, up to half (rounding down)
- Outflank: Yes
- Infiltrators: Yes, but may not deploy in opponent’s deployment zone, nor within 12” of an enemy unit.
Deployment:
- Both players roll a die and the highest scorer picks a deployment zone.
- Units then deploy following the rules for meeting engagement p170, with the player who picked the deployment zone first declaring any reserves, transported units and infiltrators, as appropriate.
- Note that infiltrators may not deploy in opponent’s deployment zone, nor within 12” of an enemy unit.
Victory:
- You score 1 victory point for every enemy unit destroyed, including any units that fail to enter the table by the end of the game.
- If one player has at least 3 victory points more than their opponent at the end of the game, they are awarded a Major Victory. (+2 points)
- If one player has 1 or 2 victory points more than their opponent at the end of the game, they are awarded a Minor Victory.
- If the players are equal on victory points at the end of the game, the game is a draw.
Mission 2 Take and Hold

- Reserves: yes at least half the units
- Outflank: No
- Infiltrators: Yes, but may not deploy within 6” of a primary objective, nor within 12” of an enemy unit.
Set up and Deployment:
- Both players roll a die and the highest scorer places one objective marker anywhere on the table, after which players alternate placing objectives until all 5 markers have been placed. All objective markers must be 12” from each other and more than 6” from any table edge.
- Once all the objectives have been placed, both players roll a dice and the highest chooses their deployment zone. Units then deploy following the rules for Fog of War p170, with the player who picked their deployment zone first declaring any reserves, transported units and infiltrators,
- N.B. Infiltrators may not deploy within 6” of a primary objective, nor within 12” of an enemy unit. All units entering from reserves can enter from any point on any table edge, except the one from which the last enemy unit entered that same turn.
Victory:
- The winner is determined by the number of objectives held by each player at the end of the game.
- To capture an objective, one of your infantry or artillery units (including transported units) must end its activation touching the objective and there must be no enemy unit which is capable of contesting by touching the objective.
- An objective remains in your control until an enemy unit captures it back.
- If one player holds at least 2 objectives more than their opponent at the end of the game, they are awarded a Major Victory. (+2 points)
- If one player holds 1 more objective than their opponent at the end of the game, they are awarded a Minor Victory.
- If the players are equal on objectives at the end of the game, the game is a draw.
Mission 3 Breakout

- Reserves: yes, up to half (rounding down)
- Outflank: No
- Infiltrators: No
Deployment:
- Both players roll a die and the highest scorer picks a deployment zone.
- Units then deploy following the rules for prepared Position p170, with the player who picked the deployment zone first declaring any reserves, transported units and infiltrators, as appropriate.
- Note that infiltrators may not deploy.
- Once all units are deployed one player rolls a die: on a 2+ a preparatory bombardment strikes both players’ positions p175. On a result of 1, the barrage fails to arrive.
Victory:
- You score 1 victory point for every enemy that is fully inside your opponent’s Deployment zone at the end of the game.
- You score 2 victory points for every one of your units that is fully inside your opponent’s Deployment zone at the end of the game.
- You score 3 victory points for every one of your units that has exited the table from your opponent’s Deployment zone edge.
- A unit counts as moving off the table edge if all models within the unit have sufficient movement to reach the edge of the table or, in the case of a vehicle, if there is sufficient movement for the whole vehicle to exit, rather than simply touching the edge.
- If one player has at least 3 victory points more than their opponent at the end of the game, they are awarded a Major Victory. (+2 points)

Army List restrictions
- Armies must comprise no more than 1250 points taken from a valid Bolt Action 3rd edition book or list. Armies may not contain more than 3 flamethrowers or one multiple launcher.
- Horse drawn limbers may be used, although discouraged. The minimum team size to draw guns: 2 horses for light. 4 for medium and 6 for heavy.
- No named characters may be selected.
- The maximum number of order dice that may be used is 12.
